WA Police have laid charges against the Roebuck Hotel, a popular Broome pub, over the amount of skin shown by attendees at a Mardi Gras event in March.

More than 2000 partygoers filled out the pub and the Broome Turf Club before police shut down the event at around midnight.

Broome Pride chair and Mardi Gras organiser Lucy Falcocchio told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings the police blamed intoxications levels for having to end the party early.

“However there’s been no infringements that were laid for that… whoever was sitting in a position [of power] that night perhaps didn’t make the best decision,” Ms Falcocchio said.
