Two men have been charged after police seized a number of 3D-printed firearms from several properties in Wundowie.

The 59 and 38 year-old men are accused of unlawfully manufacturing the weapons and selling them.

Deputy Commissioner Kylie Whiteley told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings these offences put the community and police in danger.

“We need to make sure that we’re ahead of the game,” Ms Whiteley said.

“We also need to ensure our officers are safe and the community is safe; the law will hopefully keep up with technologies that continue to emerge.”
