David Littleproud takes the federal government to task for letting families down this Christmas
Federal Nationals leader, David Littleproud, has criticised the Albanese government for letting Australian families down with their approach to the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct Review.
He says the grocery bill for families this Christmas could have been cheaper if they had taken immediate action back in October when they first announced they were doing the review.
“Your grocery bill could have been cheaper if the government had directed the ACCC, rather than calling an inquiry that won’t finish until June next year. The cost of living crisis is now, not in six months,” he told 6PR Breakfast.

He also says the supermarkets are cleaning up and need to play along if they have nothing to hide.
“While I’m not against profit, we just need to make sure everyone is getting a fair share from the farmer right through to the consumer,” he said.
