David Mundy remembers his battles With Buddy
As the football world reflects on the brilliant career of Lance Franklin, Fremantle legend David Mundy has shared his memories of playing against one of the game’s greatest.
“I remember multiple games where we had him under control for three and a half quarters but he’d just have a five or ten-minute burst and tear the game open.”

“One game in particular at ANZ Stadium in Sydney he kicked two or three goals at the very start of the last quarter and broke the game open and that was the end of it.”
“He’s an amazing athlete. To be that tall, that strong, that quick. He kicked over 1000 goals without really being a great contested mark just proves he was cut from a different cloths.”
