David Mundy: “Throwing draft picks at problems is the most minuscule of measures to help football clubs”
Fremantle legend David Mundy has slammed the AFL’s announcement today that North Melbourne would be receiving a two-year assistance package, including multiple first round draft picks.
Speaking during his regular spot on Wide World of Sports during Monday night’s program, Mundy suggested that gifting draft picks are small patches over larger cracks.
“I know from my experience that talent in the door as the only measure doesn’t do anything.”

“The AFL competition is set up so that once you bottom out and head towards the bottom of the ladder that you get a better draft pick. That is your compensation.”
