David Wenham is a SAG winner, a six-time Logie nominee, and was added to the Australian Film Hall of Fame last month.

He has visited Perth to promote his new film Spit, where he reprises his role as Johnny ‘Spit’ Spitieri, the beloved bogan hapless criminal.

David spoke to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont about playing this colourful character and how the film has been received.

“I can tell you the reaction is amazing; the levels of laughter in the cinema through the screening have been off the charts,” he said.
