Former State Opposition Leader Mia Davies says she’s recharged and up for the fight after announcing she’ll be running for pre-selection in the federal seat of Bullwinkel.

The new seat takes in regional and outer-metropolitan communities in WA and is regarded by The Nationals as winnable.

Ms Davies stood down from her role as opposition leader 18 months ago because she had no fuel left in the tank.

But she says the ‘Keep the Sheep’ campaign was a big factor in stepping up.

She joined Oliver Peterson in the studio to discuss why she wants to make the move to federal politics.
