DBCA questioned over its efforts to protect the snake-necked turtles from local extinction in the wetlands

Should the state invest more to protect the turtle population in the Cockburn wetlands to avoid local extinction?
Perth Today host Simon Beaumont strongly believes they should and asked the question to Benson Todd from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
“There’s a pretty significant investment in fox control; could we do more? Look, I’m sure we could always do more, but we’ve got to balance that out with all our other priorities as well,” he said.
