Decline in childhood vaccinations ‘concerning’
New research by UNICEF has found confidence in childhood vaccinations has dropped by 7.5 per cent in Australia since the start of the pandemic.
The number of childhood vaccinations in Australia has dropped from 94 per cent pre-Covid to 86 per cent post-Covid.
Infectious diseases paediatrician at the University of Sydney Professor Robert Booy told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live children need to be vaccinated against certain diseases.
“It’s enough to make us concerned, enough to make us respond and to improve our education efforts for the general public,” said Professor Booy.
