A mother of four has resorted to living in a tent with her children, as she tries to secure a rental property in Perth’s tight market.

As covered in January on Perth Live with Oliver Peterson, Kristine Meakins’ Rockingham rental burnt down in January, and she’ s had more than private 50 applications rejected since then.

Her family has been placed on a wait list for social housing, but haven’t had any success.

Ms Meakins says they’ve been moving between caravan parks, and it’s been incredibly tough.
