Has returning Dockers captain Nat Fyfe suffered a broken finger?

6PR Football broadcaster Brad Hardie said there are strong rumours the menacing midfielder suffered a broken finger during his WAFL return for Peel at the weekend after a bizarre comment from Dockers football boss Peter Bell on Monday.

The questions are being asked after the Fremantle football general manager addressed a WAFL Derby club luncheon on how Fyfe had pulled up following the clash with Subiaco, ahead of his expected AFL return this Saturday.

“Well he’s pulled up really well, despite breaking his finger,” Bell told the crowd.

Half the room chuckled, thinking Bell was referencing the crowd crunch that accompanied Fyfe from the field after the match.

The fan frenzy around Fyfe when he left the field also raised concerns the champion Docker could contract COVID, with extra precautions and regular testing now ensuing.
