‘Disheartening’: Leading meat advisory and policy forum reacts to latest round of Trump tariffs

Australian beef has found itself in the crossfire of US President Donald Trump’s tariff war, with some saying the industry has been singled out.
Red Meat Advisory Council chair John McKilop claims the move is allegedly Trump “appeasing” US ranchers and a Minnesota senator with a personal stake in wagyu beef.
“The fact is we don’t ban US beef into America, all we ask for is that they provide us what we provide them, which is marked traceability,” he told Millsy and Karl.
