Just off the coast of Rottnest, ships were abandoned at the end of their life for nearly 100 years, but very few records exist about this ship graveyard.

Now, Wrecksploration, a team of technical divers, is surveying these deep wrecks and sharing their history with the community.

Technical diver Martin Bovingdon discusses the amazing discoveries made by the not-for-profit group with 6PR’s Chrissy Morrissey.

“The most recent one we had ended up coming back as a ship called the Thornley Bank. It was completely unknown, so we got to actually discover the shipwreck, get it identified, tie that history to it, but also then find out where it came from,” he said.
