Do you know how to recognise a stroke?

Sadly stroke can hit you when you least expect it but a campaign from Stroke Foundation is aiming to raise awareness to identify and appropriately respond to stroke.

National manager of the Stroke Foundation Luke Hays told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons having basic understanding of what one of the most common yet least recognised signs of stroke will hugely benefit a person suffering.

“So if people don’t recognise that as a sign of stroke than they’re much less likely to act on it if they see it either in themselves or someone they love, that means that person cant access the care that they need in the time they need it which is really important,” Mr Hays said.
