Fremantle ruckman Sean Darcy has expressed his frustration at losing the battle inside the centre square in the Dockers’ loss to the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium.

Darcy spoke to the 6PR commentary team following his side’s 29 point defeat to the Dogs, leaving Fremantle’s season hanging by a thread.

“We weren’t tough enough in the contest in that first quarter.”

Darcy also lamented missed opportunities when the Dockers were on top.

“I think we scored 4 goals from from 25 inside 50’s (in the second and third quarters) and then in that last quarter, it felt like five minutes and they scored five goals.”
