Domestic university drop outs reach record high
New research has found a quarter of all domestic students who started a bachelor’s degree in 2017 dropped out by 2022 with just 62 per cent of those domestic students completing their degree.
The Institute of Public Affairs research fellow Brianna McKee told 6PR Radio’s Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson that Australian universities were shifting their focus to attract international students and it was occurring at the expense of attracting domestic students.
