More than 500 domestic violence abusers could be forced to wear GPS trackers after new laws were passed by State Parliament.

Attorney General John Quigley spoke to 6PR Perth Live host Oliver Peterson and said if somebody tried to remove or not charge the device, they could face three years in prison or a $36,000 fine.

“Anyone who commits a family violence offence against their partner, and who was already subject to a family violence restraining order, the Court will have to mandatorily put on them a GPS tracking device,” Quigley said.
