Donald Trump Jr’s heavily-promoted tour of Australia has been cancelled – at least for now – following trouble relating to a visa delay.

Promoters Turning Point Australia said the tour had already sold 8000 tickets across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Mick and Gena on 6PR Breakfast it was an odd turn of events.

“I just don’t think there’s any point trying to stop people from speaking,” Mr Ford said.
