An ailing community footy club has suffered a 516-point drubbing at the hands of fellow Men’s Division 6 club Fitzroy on the weekend in a bittersweet showing of stoicism.

The Elizabeth Eagles are last on their division’s  ladder with zero wins and a percentage of just 2.13 per cent.

“We’ve got 30 blokes out there who still want to pull the guernsey on, and that’s why we’ve got to keep the doors open,” Mr Young said.
