Eagles consider dropping Gaff
West Coast coach Adam Simpson has hinted at making a huge statement at the selection table ahead of Sunday’s clash with Richmond by dropping veteran Andrew Gaff.
Speaking on Wide World of Sports, Simpson spoke of Gaff’s form and the decision ahead.
“He just hasn’t put it together the last few weeks. We’ll work through that in the next 24 hours.”

“It happens in a way that’s a circuit breaker, or a rest, or a different position, or play as sub. We’re doing whatever we can to help him.”
Gaff has been the subject of heavy criticism this season, particularly after just six disposals last week, but Simpson went into bat for his wingman.
“His care and intent and effort and professionalism hasn’t changed at all.”
“We think we can get more out of him in the next few weeks, and hopefully, few years.”
