Eagles great calls time on career
Eagles premiership captain Shannon Hurn says he’s grateful to have spent 18 years in the AFL – after announcing his retirement at season’s end.
Hurn told Adam Papalia and Will Schofield on Wide World of Sports he anticipated this season would be his last, saying he believes the time is right to step away from the game.
“The start of the year I probably felt this was gonna be my last one,” Hurn said.
“I’ve been so fortunate enough to be able to play for so long…..I’ve got everything out of my body so I think that helps make it an easier decision.”
