The Eagles finals hopes are fading after a 21 point loss to the Giants at Spotless Stadium. The Eagles trailed by one point at the final change but the Giants kicked the last three goals of the game to notch their 14th win of the season.

Mark Hutchings kept Dylan Shiel to 21 disposals in a tagging role and was disappointed with the win despite the effort.
His opponent Dylan Shiel had a quiet day by his standards but was happy with the win. The Giants now second on the ladder. GWS will achieve their highest finish on the ladder if they can defeat third placed Geelong in round 23.
Elliot Yeo had 30 disposals and won top votes from Brad Hardie in the WA Player of the Year voting. Matt Priddis had 31 disposals and kicked two goals.
