A driver and passenger are being treated for minor injuries after an incident which left the iconic Queens Gardens front gates largely demolished.

6PR reporter Anne Barclay told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the vehicle was mostly wrecked.

“Police say they haven’t been seriously injured, but if you’re coming in to work today down Hay Street, I would avoid this intersection,” Ms Barclay said.
