EXCLUSIVE: WA bikie gangs band together to help start political party
EXCLUSIVE: Bikies are seeking information on creating a political party to combat tough outlaw motorcycle gang laws. The collective, comprising an estimated 14 gangs, is considering the move into politics to quash tough new laws, which prevent them socialising with each other and wearing their patches.
6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead said: “I’ve been in this business a long time, about 38, 39 years as journalist, and sometimes you think you’ve heard it all, you know it all.
“But every now and then, something comes along that takes you by surprise.
Press PLAY to hear Gary Adshead reveal how the bikie gangs are planning this
“Very recently I started hearing stories about WA’s outlaw motorcycle gang fraternity, and how they were sick and tired of all the laws that were being brought in to crack down on them.
“They’ve decided to take legal advice on how to form a political party, the bikies.
“They are getting organised, they have a fighting fund, each member of each gang has been asked to donate to it, so they are pooling their resources.
“And to give you an idea, when they meet at this function centre, where they’ve been twice now in recent weeks, they live stream it out to those who can’t make it. They’re serious about this.”
