Unprecedented demand has caused a shortage of the popular drug Ozempic, and the deficit is said to continue through most of 2025.

Michael Cowley, a physiologist at Monash University, explained to 6PR’s Chrissy Morrissy how this shortage can have a huge impact on a diabetic’s health.

“It’s very serious. For some patients, it’s the only way to manage their diabetes. It’s critical to their health care planning,” he said.
