Expert says gambling poses worldwide threat to public health
A new report has found the expansion of access to gambling through mobile phones and the internet is harming far more people than previously thought and there needs to be global action taken to curb the impact.
Monash University’s Public Health and Preventive Medicine associate professor Charles Livingstone spoke to 6PR Radio’s Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said the report by The Lancet Public Health Commission found the issue of gambling needed to be tackled head on.
