Experts warn Australia could be at war with China by 2026
Security experts warn a potential war could break out with China in three years.
A panel of five national security experts has told NewsCorp a conflict could eventuate as early as 2026 if China decides to invade Taiwan.
National Security and Defence Correspondent for Fairfax Newspaper Matthew Knott told Gary Adshead China is overwhelming the biggest security threat to Australia.
“China is currently in a weakening position long term, the population has been in decline and their economy is starting to struggle so their best bet might be to launch a threat sooner rather than later while – we’re not prepared,” Mr Knott said.
