Explosive discovery ends in close call for Perth couple
A Perth couple has had a lucky escape after driving around with a live grenade in the back of their farm vehicle for two weeks.
Leeanne Bosnar told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker about how she found the explosive in a pile of rubble on their Bullsbrook property.
After throwing it in the back of the buggy, thinking it was inactive, the two were shocked when they discovered it wasn’t.
“We’ve got a property that we bought that’s got a lot of rubble,” she explained.
“The house was demolished, and we’d been burning off the piles and cleaning all the rubble,
“I found it in there, and it was half covered in sand and went ‘that looks like a grenade!”
