‘Extremely disappointed and angry’: WA wage rise falls short of federal standard
The Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission has today increased the state minimum wage by 5.3 per cent, well short of the 5.75 per cent national wage rise.
Unions WA State Secretary Owen Whittle spoke to Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live.
“It falls well short of what we’d like to see…it’s going to leave workers falling backwards and going further behind,” Mr Whittle said.
