The West Perth co-captain is confident his team will hit the ground running in season 2023 and take out Claremont in the WAFL’s round one grand final rematch.

The clash headlines three fixtures to open up the season on Good Friday, with East Perth facing Swan Districts and Peel Thunder taking on East Fremantle.

West Perth co-skipper Aaron Black told Mark Readings on WWOS the team is motivated to experience “that feeling” of winning the grand final again.

“I feel like training wise we have gone to another level,” said Black.

“Pre-season has been fantastic.”
