Concerns have been raised after farmers received letters warning them that their guns need to be surrendered. However, the gun owners claim they had no idea these particular guns were on the banned registered list.

Paul Fitzgerald, WA Firearms Community Alliance spokesman, explained to Perth Live host Oliver Peterson how politicians are trying to frighten the public.

“Why has the minister ignored us, and I don’t care how many times he gets on the media and says we consulted, because you didn’t,” he said.
