Jim Beaumont, father of the three children who went missing in Adelaide in 1966, has passed away 57 years after the incident.

Nine year-old Jane, seven year-old Arnna and four year-old Grant disappeared from Glenelg Beach on Australia day, beginning a case that has kept the country’s attention ever since.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast Mr Beaumont never gave an interview since the first just after the children went missing.

“I, like many, tried to contact Mr Beaumont and he was very polite, but he said no. And he never did another interview,” Mr Ford said.

Peter Ford also discussed the return of a beloved Australian soap opera; and a famed musical closing down on Broadway after a record run.
