The State Government has issued a warning about scammers targeting Kimberley flood victims, as well as those making donations.

Commerce Minister, Sue Ellery, says the latest scam involves a phony Facebook page with a link to an agent promising 20 thousand dollars in relief funding.

Other scam traps are fake donation sites that are similar to the official organisations.

“We all know the internet is faster than the rest of us and they’re constantly adapting and putting up new scams so the best defence is for people to be vigilant,” Ms Ellery told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings.
