A team of researchers have confirmed 107-million-year-old Pterosaur bones found in the 1980s are the oldest catalogued in Australia.

Paleontologist Doctor Stephen Poropat spoke on “Have You Ever Wondered?”  with Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons.

“Pterosaurs, like modern day birds had hollow bones, and by virtue of that fact their fossil record is generally pretty poor,” Dr Poropat said.
