Author and former Geelong president Colin Carter has released a new book pushing for all Victoria Football Association premierships to be included in AFL history.

This would grant Carelton 22 premiership flags instead of 16, Essendon 20 flags instead of 16 and Collingwood 17 flags instead of 10.

Mr Carter told Adam Papalia on WWOS VFA history needs to be recognised by the AFL.

“We’re not at all downplaying football … in Western Australia,” said Mr Carter.
