Wildlife conservationists have concerns about the future of the turtle population in the Beeliar Wetlands after 170 turtles were killed by foxes in the last 6 months.

Dr Felicity Bairstow from Walliabup Wildlife Warriors explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that action is needed as the loss of the turtle population in the wetlands is escalating.

“We need to address climate change by acting on the things we can act on, and fox control is one of those things,’ she said.”
