Community Independent Kate Hulett and her team have allegedly moved lemon trees placed at the abandoned Hungry Jack’s in the city centre. The trees were reportedly placed there to stop rough sleepers.

Hannah Fitzhardinge, Mayor of the City of Fremantle, acknowledged to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that there is an issue with homelessness in Fremantle but rejected allegations that the City is actively deterring rough sleepers.

“We’re working on all levels to try and solve this one,” she said.
