The state government have revealed plans to build a $100 million Police Complex in Fremantle, but parts of the community are not on board.

Some Fremantle residents believe a new police station is necessary, however disagree with the chosen location.

John Dowson, Fremantle Society President and former Deputy Mayor of Fremantle, told Jo McManus on Afternoons the Police Complex is too large for the planned site.

“I’m just shocked with the way the planning regime goes on in WA with the bridges and different projects, they’ve got to do it much more sensitively,” Mr. Dowson said.
