Buddy brilliance helps Swans down Eagles
A spirited West Coast Eagles have lost their opening clash of the season to the Sydney Swans, going down 13.8.60 to 18.7.115.
The difference? A bloke named Buddy Franklin. The superstar booted 8.1 on his way to 21 disposals, 9 marks and 4 tackles.
The Sydney midfield worked tirelessly as Luke Parker amassed 32 possessions and 9 tackles. Despite the loss the Eagles had some shining lights in a solid from Liam Ryan (12 disposals and a goal) & the successful return of ruckman Nic Naitanui.
