Eagles hang on for win in Melbourne
The West Coast Eagles have held on for a seven-point win after a Dogs late surge brought the reigning Premiers within a single point in the dying minutes at Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagle’s lead from the start and although there were some challenging moments, a Nathan Vardy goal in the final moments pushed West Coast’s lead for the 11.14 (80) to 12.15 (87) victory.
Jack Darling kicked three goals and Malcolm Karpany had a great first half with a couple of goals and finished with three majors.
Darling kicks his third!
He hasn’t kicked more than two goals in a game since R5 against Hawthorn when he kicked 4.#AFLDogsEagles
