Gaming addiction is a ‘massive’ problem, says psychiatrist

Despite various clinical trials and research showing how addictive video games can be, little is being done to treat those who are spending more than 40 hours a week gaming.
Doctor Kim Le, a clinical psychiatrist, phoned into Weekends with Russell Collett and spoke about gaming disorder, which he describes as a “massive” issue.
“Our data showed the teenagers that were having the problematic gaming were gaming 45 hours a week,” Dr Le said.
“That’s like a full-time job.”
