6PR has today announced the return of media stalwart Gary Adshead to their airwaves.

One of the state’s top investigative reporters across television, radio and print for almost 40 years, Adshead replaces Liam Bartlett as host of the Mornings program, starting on Monday November 21.

Adshead has received various accolades, including WA Journalist of the Year on four occasions, most recently in 2018, and said he was excited to be returning to 6PR.

“It’s a privilege to take the reigns of the Mornings program and reconnect with the listeners,” he said.

6PR content manager Emily White says the station is thrilled to have someone of Gary’s calibre taking on the Mornings program.

“Gary is the best news breaker in the business and if it’s happening in Perth, Gary already knows about it,” she said.
