‘Very confident’: Geoff Marsh on breaking the Sheffield Shield drought
WA cricket legend Geoff Marsh has told Gareth Parker that he is ‘very confident’ that the Western Australian side will play well in the upcoming 2021β22 Sheffield Shield final.
Swampy said that the WA team had worked hard to get where they are now, and this own son Shaun Marsh would love to win the shield.
“The boys have had a terrific summer in all forms, and I’m sure if they take that form into the Shield final, then all will come out winners in the end,” he said.
“I think it’s something they really want, but they know they’ve got to work really hard. Five days is tough cricket ahead, and if they do it well, they’ll hold the shield.”
