Geraldton IGA bans unsupervised children after 6pm amid crime spike
Geraldton’s chain of IGA stores has enforced a ban on unsupervised children entering their stores after 6pm due to a rise in shoplifting and staff abuse.
IGA Geraldton general manager, Kyme Rigter, says they had no other choice.
“There’s no set age bracket but unfortunately we have seen a steady increase in juvenile activities, antisocial behaviour and theft,” Mr Rigter said.
