Today is World Sight Day, a day which is becoming deeply personal to Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson.

Oly shared the story of his beautiful two-year-old son Henry who battles with blindness in his left eye.

Vision 20/20 Australia CEO Carly Iles told listeners vision loss is quite common with half a million Australians who have vision loss or blindness.

She said vision loss and blindness is set to increase with estimates that half of Australians will require access to eyecare services by 2050.

Carly encouraged people to ‘Love Your Eyes’ by following better eyecare practices.
