Got your flu shot? Doctors warn of bumper winter flu season
Less than seven million Australians have taken action to protect themselves from the flu, prompting warnings form doctors.
Director of Infectious Diseases at Mater Health Services Associate Professor Paul Griffin told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons there’s already been 59,000 cases of the so-called “kindy flu” reported nationwide.
“The trouble with the flu season this year is that it is tracking along at a similar trajectory to what we saw in 2019,” Professor Griffin said.
