Government lacks analysis on confusing Murdoch hospital plans
The State Government has spent $16,500 on a feasibility analysis on the transfer of the Women and Babies Hospital to Murdoch, a worryingly small number compared to its $1.8 billion price tag.
Business News reporter Mark Beyer has extensively researched the paperwork behind the shift, and told Gary Adshead the Cook Government has had perplexing timing in planning the site and hospital.
“This is the kind of stuff that you do early in the planning process,” Mr Beyer said.
“You don’t award a contract like that three months after you’ve made the decision.”
