Greyhound racing to be banned in New Zealand
Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand, and Racing Minister, Winston Peters has announced the Government’s plans to end greyhound racing in the country.
He says the percentage of dogs being injured remains persistently and unacceptably high.
The greyhound industry had been on notice over animal welfare concerns for several years.
