Groom-a-Boomer: new campaign urges some strong words with the family

A pair of creative agencies have fired up a last-minute effort to get young people to convince their boomer parents to vote Yes in the Voice to Parliament Referendum.

The Groom-a-Boomer campaign is urging Yes voters to hide their parents’ TV remotes, change their iPad’s language to Danish and even asking them ‘do you even love me?’ in an effort to force a conversation on the debate.

Berlin Creative’s Director Richard Bernie told Millsy and Karl onĀ 6PR Breakfast it’s all in good humour, he isn’t looking to further divide families.

“Whether it’s Yes or No, that’s not really the point; I just wanted to help people talk a little bit because everything’s gotten so heated,” Mr Bernie said.
