Growing concerns over US tariffs on Australian steel and aluminium

There are growing concerns US tariffs imposed on Australian steel and aluminium could have knock-on effects on the economy after Australia failed to secure an exemption from the 25-percent levy applicable to all countries.
AMP chief economist Shane Oliver spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said the tariffs would harm Australia’s trading relationship with the US and American consumers would pay for it.
